May 8, 2012, LONGMONT, Colo. and SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Parascript®, LLC, a leading machine print, handprint and cursive recognition technology provider, today announced that document capture and enterprise content management (ECM) integrator, Synapses Inc., has joined Parascript’s partner program as a Platinum Partner. Through the partnership, Synapses will offer Parascript’s FormXtra® technology integrated with its existing offerings to help companies in banking, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing and other industries to extract valuable business information—including name, address, demographic and other data—from forms. This information can, in turn, be indexed and more effectively used across organizations.
Synapses is a Microsoft® SharePoint® and Hyland OnBase® expert, drawing on over 30 years of document management and ECM expertise. It helps companies better manage information, from document creation, capture, access, workflow and escalations, to archival storage, compliance and disaster recovery.
The company will further expand its offerings to include forms processing by integrating Parascript’s flagship recognition software in its FormXtra technology. Parascript FormXtra recognizes hand print, machine print and cursive on forms and looks at entire words, individual characters (letters or numbers) and fields to increase read rates and improve accuracy in deciphering address, demographic, billing, and other information recorded on paper forms.
“At Synapses, we are happy to offer customers even more value in managing important content across their organizations through our partnership with Parascript. We were already familiar with Parascript’s FormXtra technology and knew it was the best choice to help us address customers’ data recognition and capture needs. The technology is so seamless and easy-to-use that people often don’t even know it is running until they see the results, which is great for us,” said David Vickers, director, business development at Synapses.
“Based on what we see in the industry, the majority of businesses would agree they still have a large source of information on forms that is not being tapped, from which they could otherwise greatly benefit,” said Dwayne Ritchie, vice president of sales and marketing at Parascript. “We are excited to be working with leaders like Synapses to make our technology more readily available to extract and capture that information and enable companies to further increase efficiency and benefit customers.”
