Check fraud cost commercial banks $853 million in 2003 (TowerGroup, Needham, MA) and it’s only getting worse. CheckStock is a filter that detects counterfeit checks, so banks and financial institutions can safeguard their operations against fraud.
CheckStock can be easily integrated with other check fraud applications such as SignatureXpert™ to provide banks and financial institutions with “fail safe” fraud detection. Benefits include:
- Comprehensive Verification – Compares the stock of a suspect check to reference checks for an indication that an item is counterfeit. It also: detects variations by comparing main field header positions; analyzes font type, size, and character spacing; verifies check size; and measures distances between fields.
- Automated Block Placement Verification – Automates comparison of images against preprinted objects. Banks can now reduce counterfeit check fraud instantaneously, comparing check fields and detecting variations between legitimate and fraudulent checks.
