Ensures address validity to gain postal
discounts
Commercial shipping, mail firms and pre-sort
vendors depend on correct letter and package addresses for mailing
discounts. Integrators and Multi-Line Optical Character Recognition (MLOCR)
transport vendors must provide their clients accurate address
validation against the United States Postal Service (USPS)
database. AddressSelect is a high-performance address
validation engine that reduces incorrect address entries so postage
discounts and compliance with USPS guidelines are realized. AddressSelect
delivers seamless API integration with MLOCR transports and/or third party OCR
engines.
AddressSelect also broadens and extends the advanced
address recognition expertise used by USPS and European Posts by offering an
address validation process. It delivers:
- Compliance with USPS Authority Standards - Meets USPS/Coding
Accuracy Support System (CASS™) certification guidelines.
- Accurate Contextual Analysis - Analyzes raw OCR data to correct
misread, missed, unnecessary and erroneously segmented characters.
- Comprehensive Address Parsing - Parses address data into elements
such as city, state, ZIP, street address, and other components to support
further address assignment.
- Flexible Address Matching - Compares address components to
USPS address database. When a match is found, Address Select assigns an 11-digit
zip code and returns the address in a standardized form.
- Universal Solution - Adaptable to country specific address
validation and correction applications when local postal databases are
available.
